My husband took sick in 94 they did exploritory surgery on him and found he had cancer on his heart and there was another tumor on his lung. We had applied for service connection at that time, of course they turned him down. He did 2 tours in Vietnam and was sprayed the chemical to kill undergrowth--agent orange. We couldn't get anyone to say his cancer was caused by that, we fought and fought till my husband was about to give up. A friend of his told us about a man who he thought could help and introduced us to him. If it wasn't for Brooks McDaniel my husband would not have received his service connection compensation. He now passed on from the disease.But thanks for the great work and compassion Brooks had for my husband, he fought and got it. He really cares for veterans. I have seen it first first hand. He came to the hospital when my husband was gravely sick and gave comfort to him and me it meant a lot to us both. I still keep in touch with this man who wants to help all the veterans he can. Brooks thank you so much for caring, you meant a lot to My husband, John and myself. Keep on fighting for our vets. And if anyone would like to contact me and ask me I have no problems.
